Metal is currently the main focus of my jewelry designs. Previously, my metal designs started with a sketch, turned it into a digital drawing, and then I would make a hand sawn model based of this design to be replicated. Currently, I either sketch or make a digital drawing of my designs, lay them out in a digital file, and then have them cut out sheet metal using a photochemical machining process. Once they come back to me, I treat the charms, giving them a warm slightly aged look, then polish them for a satin finish, and then seal with jewelry wax for protection. Finally, they’re paired with their coordinating metal chain and components. My current designs are inspired by midcentury design, southwestern/tribal flair, geometric shapes & patterns, with my always minimalist, clean & simple aesthetic in mind.
